On 15 September we will be in Florence for the first meeting between all LIFE MICROFIGHTER partners. We are finally starting to work on this ambitious project that we are sure will bring great results, in a European context, to reduce the use of copper-based pesticides, known to be dangerous to fish, small mammals, invertebrates and insect biodiversity. All this will be possible thanks to the use of special microorganisms associated with natural zeolites. We are ready for the general brainstorming with all the partners, and to start working in synergy on the first stages of this project that will engage us until early 2026.
There are many activities scheduled, from field trials on grapevines, olives and tomatoes, to copper monitoring in soils and microbial biodiversity evaluation, crop yields, and product quality; and then the environmental impact assessment, the life cycle assessment (LCA), future impacts, and a lot of dissemination activities, to make these new solutions known to an ever wider public, towards sustainable agriculture.
